Christine Paddock lives on 5 acres of prairie near Rivers, Manitoba. She divides her time between her family, teaching piano, and leading music at her local church. Christine has been writing songs and singing for over 20 years in her living room, but when Covid19 hit in 2020, she knew it was time to step out.
Her debut single, “Strange Times” explores feelings and questions triggered by the events of 2020. Winnipeg singer-songwriter, Jaylene Johnson, executive produced the single, along with producer, Marie Joy.
“Strange Times” is a timely message of hope and has been described by listeners as “ethereal”, “comforting” and “contemplative”. Here is what worship leader and music artist, Brian Doerksen had to say about it:
“Christine’s tender hopeful song about these strange times is just what we need now. I love the way the lyrics and the melody tell the collective story of what we are in the middle of and remains beyond our control. Most of all, I love the way this song gently reminds us that ‘we are not alone in these strange times.’” – Brian Doerksen
Christine hopes to continue to write and release music as she moves forward in this new season.
